We do not promote the brand name of block salt because our stock varies and we only ever make sure that we buy good quality blocks – so all of our current supplies come from the same machine in the Netherlands and the block is the same, regardless of the wrapper with the name on.
Suitable for every type of block salt water softener, block salt was first thought of by Harvey Bowden – the founder of Harvey’s Water Softeners and it is actively promoted by Harvey’s because they charge a marketing margin on every pack sold. Block salt is easy and convenient, but tablet salt is cheaper per kilogram so the choice is yours.
Each pack contains 2 x 4kg blocks of salt. Each block has finger grips moulded into it at both ends so that you can hold them easily. In some softeners it is important to place the block into the softener with those finger grips facing front and back.
Dispatch is free, in a solid cardboard box by UK courier and is normally next business day delivery. Remember that 3 packs of this product = 24 kg so if that is too heavy for you to carry, then open the box and lift each pack out by its handle.
We use a box that has been designed and registered by us, to protect the blocks from breakage during their journey. Each box is extra thick cardboard and inside is a shock absorber to absorb the impact if the box is dropped.
